Our temporary exhibitions reflect the wide range of art interests and explorations of the Tannery Row Artist Colony featuring art from diverse cultures, philosophies, various disciplines, genre and media. Developing a schedule of shows that represent an artist's work, vision, ideas, and opinions, foster a line - up of exhibits that are educational, and display quality craftsmanship or artistic ability. Other exhibits may be juried, providing multiple awards, or may simply depict a collection of artistic expressions. Regardless of the type or theme of our shows, we hope that each one will enrich and deepen the appreciation and understanding of the visual arts and the human condition.
The Tannery Row Artist Colony celebrates the connection between artists and community. The spirit of creativity can be shared and experienced during our monthly OPEN STUDIOS, which happen every 2nd Saturday of every month from 12-4 pm. The public is welcome to meet Tannery artists as they open their doors to their studios, answer questions, and share their workspace and artistic process. Visit 16 artist studios and watch artists at work. Our artists explore a variety of mediums such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, found object assemblage, encaustic, clay, jewelry, printmaking and photography. Many artists offer private lessons, accept commissions, and sell their works of art.
